Depleted Uranium has not yet left the shroud of military secrets – If made public, could this “magic metal” of military secrets proportion yield a better battery? cold fusion? cheaper hydrogen recovery technologies? The other “bug-a-boo” is Hemp production in the U.S. – Not forbidden in China or Canada, our main sources of the product, (bad for the current balance of trade – good for 1930′s cotton growers) and a very good, cheap material for ultra light, cheap body panels etc., in cars – how-cum?
Simple fact: Detroit “Iron” is dead – lighter carbon fiber, hemp fiber, and advanced polymer composites make stronger, more repairable more durable and mostly lighter car bodies that go further and faster per charge than heavy sheet metal bodied, 1930′s grease pit tech of the GM Volt! Even Henry Ford was able to produce a practical, viable plastic car body way back in the early days!
